Stepping up for justice, cooking up some fun, and cheering on each other Latest news and updates from the set U free crew
Stepping up for justice
On Monday 13th June, five of the set U free crew did the Leeds Legal Walk to help raise awareness and support for Personal Support Unit. It was a 10km route along the Leeds-Liverpool canal and back around the City centre. It was a great night, and we had fun laughing and chatting as we clocked up some serious steps on our fitbits! We finished with a well earned victory drink in the Belgrave Music Hall. We got active, had fun and new friendships were formed; not bad for a damp Monday night!
Cooking up some fun
Check out how much fun we had at our healthy eating cookery course at Get Cooking Leeds . No more soggy salads for us, after we learnt how to use fresh and healthy ingredients like lentils and Bulgar wheat to make simple healthy meals. Lots of the crew have been inspired to try get experimenting in the kitchen, and there has been lots of snapchats of perfect omelettes and delicious panzanellas.
Cheering on together
We have to make a special congrats to our resident blogger Maria, who completed her first ever triathlon on Sunday 12th June. Some of the set U free crew went down to cheer her over the finish line, and were proud to see she did it with a massive smile. We won’t say much more, as you can find out how she got on in her blog later this week!
That’s it for this month guys,
Happy, healthy wishes from the set U free crew x
